A 'commemoration to culture' event organised by the Trust. The twinning of Masnieres and St Peter Port during the afternoon of the 30th November 2019, at Maison Victor Hugo. The hundredth and second anniversary of the Battle of Les Rue Vertes in France by the RGLI

About the Event
Hosted by the French Authorities at Maison Victor Hugo, Hautville, Guernsey. In the presence of The Bailiff of Guernsey, Sir Richard Collas, the document of Twinning was offically signed by represnentaives of the two communities. On behalf of France, the Mayor of Masnieres, M. Frances Noblecourt (centre photograph). On behalf of St Peter Port, the Constables, Mr Denis Le Moignion and Mrs Jenny Tasker. An invited audience, due to the size of the venue, included representatives of the States of Guernsey and the Gendamerie Maritime from St Malo. The event was followed by a short Vin D'Honeur.
