Consecration & Trooping of the RGLI Regimental Colours

The RGLI are pleased to announce the newly remade RGLI colours which are now completed in the traditional fashion and material and have arrived to their new home in Guernsey.

At 11am on Saturday 29th November the RGLI will host a dedicated Service of Consecration at the Town Church (the Regimental Chapel).

This tradition, from which the trooping of the colours in borne, has not been seen in Guernsey for over 110 years. The historic event will be led by the Dean of Guernsey, The Very Reverend Tim Barker, in which the Regimental Colours will be blessed and then received on behalf of the Crown by His Excellency.

Immediately afterwards they will be presented before a Military Parade & Band in Church Square, recognising the Colours, including Guernsey's other standards and members of the public and then marching to the RGLI memorial at the Sunken Gardens.

Please take this invitation to attend this historic event. For further information please get in touch with events@rglil.org
