A very warm welcome to the Bailiwick of Guernsey and to Walking Through History. We are delighted to meet you and hope you enjoy the passion of unwrapping our local history. As a qualified guide, military history broadcaster, presenter for BBC and Channel 4 TV, Chris has been covering history and guiding for over forty years. He has researched and presented many courses and lectures that guides use today in several countries. He has also collaborated on programs with Sir Tony Robinson, Pierre Renault and the late Major John Howard as well having been a Director and Producer. In 2014 Guernsey's local airline, Aurigny, featured Chris calling him simply 'The History Man'.

With a specialism in researching and delivering bespoke tours for visitors to the Bailiwick, UK, France and South East Asia, he can also be found crafting, arranging and leading a range of local short walks and mobile tours. If you think Chris might look familiar face it is likely to come from his family background in the Film and Television Industry, where he maintains interests. Chris is also President of The Royal Guernsey Light Infantry LBG, RGLI Association France and CEO of The Armstrong Group.

There are a number of walking tours to meet anyones demands and ability. Getting mobile is a great way to see what else the island offers and follow the history of garrison and regiments through the years. The Bailiwick has also been used for several years by the film and television history, discover where John Mills commanded a submarine, David Niven planned a raid, Oliver Reed lived and his favourite hostelry and just what is Sean Connery's connection to the Bailiwick.
